In the air ring system, the air goes through the entire suction circuit, and the suction unit creates the vacuum by a ring air. The suction pump consists of an air impeller which rotates at high speed inside a vacuum chamber with very tight tolerances (principle adopted in the common vacuum cleaner). Only the air can circulate inside the pump.
These systems have a large air flow and a low flow of liquid. The main problems of these systems, are caused by the construction technology of the separators, in respect of large amounts of liquid aspirated, you have the machine to stop to allow the discharge of the separator. Shortly suitable for high surgical operations. The air pump can be placed at the level of the dental unit, higher or lower. This makes it suitable for situations where there is little space available.
