The water ring suction system is the most suitable for dental surgery. In the presence of large quantities of blood, such as those that occur during periodontal and maxillofacial surgery, and foams resulting from these interventions, water ring systems do not interrupt their functioning, in addition the higher prevalence of water ring pumps (compared to air ring) eases the aspiration of blood.
